Meredyth Hunt 

Meredyth Hunt is a performer, teacher and theatre creator.  She is the Artistic Director of Happy Chicken Theater, a company that creates original theater for children. Through Happy Chicken Theater, she also teaches summer theatre camps and leads The Great Big Adventure. In addition, she has created two original works for Descanso Gardens, including Into the Forest and a puppet show, for The Harvest Festival. Television roles include hosting a nationally syndicated talk show, Lover or Loser, and many guest starring appearances in shows such as Crossing Jordan, The Norm Show and even a stint as the "Dragon Lady" on the soap opera Passions. The highlight of her film career was starring opposite Frank Langella in the independent film Breaking the Fifth. She has performed in theatre around the country in shows such as Chicago and Modigliani as well as many original works. She creates new work with her artistic partner, Erin Schlabach, as Leonix Movement Theater.


Jones Welsh 

Jones Welsh is a performer, administrator, and warrior. Jones received his degree in theatre and dance from the University of Washington in 2000, then returned for the Non-Profit Management Certificate Program after 2 years of working in New York.  Jones is now the Managing Director of Not Man Apart - Physical Theatre Ensemble (www.notmanapart.com), establishing the organization in 2000 and now co-produces the LA Improv Dance Festival, Somatic Movement Arts Festival, and Shakespeare Santa Monica.  After completing five years touring with Diavolo Dance Theatre (www.diavolo.org), Jones worked as the Diavolo Institute Director, establishing sustainable community outreach programs in Los Angeles. Jones is a trained animal tracker and survivalist through Tom Brown Jr.’s Tracker School, a gymnastics coach at Broadway Gymnastics, and trains in Brazilian martial arts at Capoeira Brasil LA. Jones has coached kids of all ages for over 15 years in gymnastics studios in Seattle, New York, and Los Angeles.
